operational partnership options

Nonprofit leaders carry an extraordinary amount, often navigating complexity, growth, or transition with limited resources. My operational partnerships are designed to meet the realities and needs of your organization, working alongside leadership to provide senior-level support that brings clarity, strengthens systems, and helps work move forward more sustainably.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, each engagement is shaped around an organization’s specific needs, priorities, and desired outcomes. The partnership structure, scope of work, and investment are aligned intentionally to support the work that matters most at that moment. The options below reflect common ways this support takes shape in practice.

Repeating vertical architectural elements creating a sense of structure, rhythm, and consistency.

what all engagements have in common

While each partnership is shaped around an organization’s specific context, all engagements share a common foundation:

  • Senior-level operational partnership grounded in nonprofit leadership experience
  • Hands-on, practical support focused on clarity, systems, and decision-making
  • Defined scope and outcomes aligned to organizational priorities
  • Clear respect for governance and authority boundaries, with leadership retaining decision-making responsibility
  • Collaborative, co-designed approach that strengthens internal capacity
  • Time-bound structure with clear expectations, designed to support sustainable progress

common engagement STRUCTURES

The operational partnerships below reflect common ways organizations engage with this work, based on their needs, timing, and internal capacity. These summaries are meant to provide a clear sense of scope, focus, and level of support, not to prescribe a specific path. Each engagement is adapted to the organization it supports, and details are refined through conversation.

TAILORED Operational Leadership and advisement

You may be navigating a situation that does not align with a defined, time-bound engagement. In those cases, the partnership is shaped around what your organization is experiencing, rather than a standard engagement format.
Tailored engagements may include interim operational leadership during periods of transition, stabilization, or leadership change. They may also take the form of a fractional operational partnership, providing part-time executive-level operational leadership to strengthen systems, bring structure to underdeveloped areas, or simply maintain day-to-day operational stability.
In other situations, the work may focus on a defined strategic operational advisement effort, such as operational planning, readiness or capacity assessments, or coordinating cross-functional work during a period of change. These engagements are scoped around clear objectives and outcomes, with experienced operational judgment applied intentionally and implementation support provided where it is most needed.
In each case, the level and form of operational support are aligned to your organization’s context, capacity, and moment in time.

If you'd like to talk through your organization's needs and explore what type of operational partnership may be the right fit, I welcome the conversation. You can schedule a time to connect or reach out for more information.
